Description
I work as a Pharmacy Technician at a local hospital and when I'm not taking care of Pyxis Med station problems and refilling department orders for stocked meds, I am at home playing games and enjoying life. I also write poetry and play guitar. But, like gaming, they are also hobbies.

  • Recently, I dove back into the world of Lordran with the release of the ‘Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition’ on PC. With controller in hand (because that’s what From Software recommended using months ago) and the Dark Souls Fix in place (which takes an easy few seconds to install), I played the opening sequence in the Undead Asylum and sweet euphoric memories came flooding back. Fast forward through 120 hours of gameplay and I am once again addicted to Dark Souls like I was when I played it for the first time back in October of 2011 when it was released. Now, I don’t want to make myself sound like a complete “fanboy” of the game (although to an […]

  • I’ve been a fan of the Final Fantasy series ever since I first played Final Fantasy 1 on my Nintendo Entertainment System 21 years ago (Damn, has it really been that long?), and recently I’ve been yearning for some of that old school FF flair. I hooked up my trusty NES and took a trip down memory lane. I had forgotten how simplistic, yet how well crafted FF1 was back in the day. Even by today’s standards there are still some redeeming qualities of the game that shine. For instance, the game definitely has replay value. You have the choice to choose from 6 different character classes and you can combine them in any order you want. Want to be […]

  • Dark Souls has been out for a little over 5 months now and if I’ve learned anything about the people who play the game, it’s this: The majority of them can’t play the game without looking everything up on a Wiki site or cheating. Now, before I go further with this article (complaint), I just want to clarify that I play Dark Souls on Xbox. I don’t know how the PSN community is, but I’m sure they have their share of glorified miscreants as well. I just want to say that I love this game. It’s my favorite game from last year and it has given me well over 400 hours of fun game play. I enjoy the online aspects […]

  •      After putting 170+ hours into Skyrim, I have to admit that I am overall disappointed. The game seemed to have a lot going for it at first, but I feel that Bethesda may have gone too grand with its ideas and it led to somewhat of a boring experience. In other words, less could have been a whole lot more. I know a lot of you will be reading this and thinking “What is he talking about?! This game is awesome!”  Allow me to explain. Infinite Quests      First off, the idea of infinite quests must have looked good on paper, but it’s implementation in the game is rather dull and pointless. The best part about it […]

  • The title of this article does not reflect upon the success of the game but, rather, it is a reference to a few glitches that I experienced while playing this magnificent piece of art. Let me start off by saying that I have currently clocked in around 30 hours on Skyrim and I absolutely love it. The ability to wander such a vast map and enjoy all that it has to offer can feel overwhelming at times, but nonetheless it is an amazing experience to behold. Yet, an experience that comes with bugs along the way.   That’s right. Everyone’s favorite things about these games: glitches. Now I have read about some bad bugs that people have found, but to be […]

  • Dark Souls is soon to be released on October 4th, and all I can wonder is “what will my first death be?” Will it be heroic? Will I die valiantly defending off hordes of enemies? Or will my death be as simple as falling for a trap? It’s hard to say, but my prediction is I will either die from being crushed or skewered. The reason I believe I will die in either fashion is because Demon’s Souls had a lot of BIG bosses. Many of which could easily crush or stab you to death. So, I believe that Dark Souls will match or surpass that criteria. I do realize, however, that even a smaller enemy can run you through with a […]

  • Skyrim: Which Mods would you like to see? I’ve been hearing a lot about the PC version of Skyrim lately. Mostly from people who wish to see the PC version in action, so they can be satisfied by the PC’s extra graphical glory upside the now outdating PS3 and Xbox 360.  I’ve also heard a lot of talk about possible mods for Skyrim.  Both of these subjects warrant attention, but I will only be addressing the latter since the first subject is a given. The PC version of Skyrim will look better than its console cohorts. Mods, on the other hand, are not so black and white. Will there be mind blowing graphical mods? Sure. Will modders choose to create […]
