Final Fantasy fans will have to wait a little longer for Final Fantasy 14 to make it’s debut on the PS3 gaming console. Publisher Square-Enix has delayed the release of it’s Final Fantasy MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game) for the Playstation 3. The game was originally scheduled to be launched in March 2011; Now Square-Enix has released a statement regarding the release date of Final Fantasy 14 Online which reads “to be determined”. “Rather than simply converting the current Windows PC version, it is our intention to include all the improvements we currently plan to meet customer expectations for the PS3 versions,” reads a portion of the Square-Enix statement.
The PC version of Final Fantasy XIV was released in September and has been plagued by a series of bugs which so thoroughly irritated some players that they left the game completely. Developers have planned a series of updates to address the bugs, including one already released in late November. Additional updates are scheduled for this month and early 2011. Square-Enix has extended the games free trial period to compensate for the large amount of technical errors and game bugs.

First they delay it, then won’t say anything about it, and then secretly cancel it, just like The Last Remnant.
