Play SNES games on iPad with a Wii remote

How to play SNES games on your iPad or iPhone with a Wii remote

First of all you must have a jailbroken/unlocked iPad or iPhone (if you don’t simply navigate to our NERD TREK tutorials on How to Unlock iPhone 4.2.1/Unlock iPad 4.2.1.

After you are jailbroken you must download “snes4iphone” which is located on Cydia.  If you’re unfamiliar with jailbreaking and Cydia please do some reading on our iPhone NERD TREK tutorials and come back when you’re ready.

After you have the SNES emulator you’ll need a few roms (games) to test this out with.  Make sure you put the ROMS in the /var/mobile/media/ROMs/ folder.

Now for the Wiimote!  Open snes4iphone, go into the options panel, and turn on Wiimote support.  Once you have done this relaunch snes4iphone and you will see it searching for the Wiimote, hold down buttons 1 and 2 at the same time and wait.  Soon it will recognize the Wiimote as your controller and you should be good to go!

Enjoy your old school gaming!
