Review: Supernatural: Rite of Passage

Supernatural: Rite of Passage by John Passarella is a novel that is based on the TV series Supernatural. It is a thrilling horror story that encompasses dark and otherworldly forces.

In this novel, the main characters Sam and Dean are led to Laurel Hill, New Jersey, when they hear of a series of accidents that seem to be more than just terrible bad luck. First, three skilled roofers manage to fall of a roof and die within thirty seconds of each other. Then, there are three seemingly random deaths in three different houses all on the same block.

Sam and Dean are hunters that specialize in the supernatural, but even they have never encountered evil like this. The book takes us through their horrifying quest to find out who or what is causing the accidents. The accidents get progressively more terrifying and the creature appears to be unstoppable.

I have only seen a few episodes of Supernatural since I’m not a big fan of other world forces. This book was easy to read even with my limited knowledge of the characters. The book was difficult to put down as Sam and Dean came closer to finding out what was causing the accidents and how to stop it. I definitely recommend this book as a supernatural thriller.
