  • This article is for the die-hard, original ‘Alien’ fans out there.  If you want any of that AVP filler then please, read no further. Now that the air is clear, the wait is almost over.  Director Ridley Scott’s latest Alien prequel is due to hit theaters on 8 June, 2012.  Charlize Theron plays the lead role according to the most recent movie trailer at the bottom of this article.  Of note, seeing Theron in this film’s setting sort of reminds you of the latest Metroid games except without the crouch-roll function as she is as fit as a ninja.  However, I digress. Although Theron is the lead character, Scott equally devotes his time explaining the origins of Weyland Industries, the […]

  • Perhaps Earth is but an afterthought for terrestrial travelers on the move from one galaxy to the next?  Much like we pay no mind to ants on our daily journeys, why would we stop to admire anthills?  The wind may blow their world away like sand blown through a desert.  This will happen millions of times, almost too many times to count or care.  Until the ants seek to better themselves through seeing beyond their single generation then they will perish like autumn leaves, always destined to die. We, the intergalactic ants, may beg and cry “Why have we not been visited by aliens from the sky?”  Yet, perhaps we may have been visited a million times over but they […]

  • Any of you that perform Google News searches as much as I do with the keyword “aliens” will know of NASA’s latest rant that reflects their A or B type logic, the same logic that has plagued the human race since the beginning of our short time on Earth.   What NASA presents us with are either of two choices: A) aliens will wipe us out or B) save us from ourselves, i.e., alleviate global warming. Firstly, both choices reflect the egocentric condition of humanity in that we think we are somehow the center of this known universe and that we are, by default, owed a visit by aliens even if they are just passing through.  Isaac Asimov, one of my […]
