  • Legendary Classes: Illuminatus – The Chaos Mage This supplement clocks in at 37 pages, 1 page front cover, 1 page editorial/ToC, 3 pages of SRD, leaving us with 32 pages of content, so let’s take a look!   So what is the chaos illuminate or Illuminatus? First of all, the class would need to be non-lawful. It receives d6,4+Int skills per level, proficiency with simple weapons, 1/2 BAB-progression, good ref and will-saves and spellcasting of up to 9th level via a unique spell-list. Speaking of spellcasting – while it does work via cha and spontaneous, the casting works different than for any other class – Illuminati don’t cast regular spells, rather learning to cast so-called wonders instead. Each wonder is […]

  • Planar Races: Chaos – The Xaolings This racial supplement clocks in at 15 pages, 1 page front cover, 2 pages of SRD, leaving us with 12 pages of content, so let’s take a look, shall we?   So what are the Xaolings? If the name wasn’t ample clue – they’re beings infused with or sired by the essence of Limbo and its chosen caretakers, the Proteans. As such, their looks are extremely varied and the chaotic influx is also represented in the (thankfully present) age, height and weight-table with massive variances in maximum age. Nice! Beyond the usual takes on relationships with other races, the suggestions for looks here would be awesome – elves with slithering, serpentine shadows, slitted pupils […]

The item has 5 power-progressions (5thth, 10th, 15th and 20th level unlock new powers) and contrary to what the item’s table says (it mentions a lesser psicrown), the crown instead act as a greater psicrown […]

  •  Splinters of Faith I – It started with a Chicken…   The first adventure of the Splinters of Faith-adventure series is 20 pages long,  1 page front cover, 1 page editorial, 1 page ToC, 3 pages of advertisement, 1 page SRD, leaving us with 13 pages of adventure.   This being an adventure review, it contains SPOILERS. Even worse, since it (and I) discuss the metaplot, there are MASSIVE SPOILERS for the whole series.   Players should really skip to the conclusion of the review.   Still here? All right! Once upon a time, a priest-king named Akruel Rathamon, a vile man of unrivaled power subjugated all the lands under his tyrannical rule in the name of a deity that […]

  • Sorry for the delay, kupo! Just been so busy thinking of the best villians!! So last time around we did the CUTEST characters (with myself er… I mean Moogles winning!) Now we are onto the EVILEST, BADDEST PERSON in the series!! Starting at number 5 we have (dun dun dduuunnn): Sephiroth While not entirely human, (he was created, kupo!) He wanted to be a GOD! Well that is just plain mean! But at the same time, he had this ‘lost boy’ appeal to him which is what made him land at the number 5 spot. __________   Coming in at number 4 is: Kuja This poor (again created beings!) guy acts mostly behing the queen, but has evil plots of […]
