  • Monster Menagerie: The Construct Companion This massive tome clocks in at 123 pages, 1 page front cover, 1 page ToC, 1.5 pages of advertisement, 1 page editorial, 2 pages of SRD, 1 page advertisement, 1 page blank back cover, leaving us with 114.5 pages of content, so let’s take a look!   We begin this massive, huge book with an aptly-written piece of prose before diving straight into this massive book, which can be pictured as w2hat would happen if a book of the series formerly known as Mythic Menagerie (renamed due to the release of the mythic rules) took more steroids than an 80s locker-room full of pro-wrestlers. What do i mean by this? Well, this huge book is […]

  • Mythic Minis: Construct Feats All right, you know the deal – 3 pages – 1 page front cover, 1 page SRD, 1 page content, let’s go! First of all: These construct feats are obviously (mostly) made for monsters – and that is a good thing, seeing their power. When a prerequisite does not require being mindless or high-powered, golem-like powers, I’ll not so in the feat!   -Antimagic Aura: Requires immunity to magic, renders utterly immune to any magical effects not executed by the creator of the construct while it has one mythic power left. Interesting in that it gets the interaction of the monster ability and antimagic field right – too many designers overlook the finer details of the […]

  • Rogue AIs: Construct Friend and Foes This pdf is 9 pages long, 1 page front cover, 1 page SRD, leaving us with 7 pages of content, so let’s take a look, shall we?   And we kick off with a rather cool and extensive background story – Copper Carl and the Mithril Men were once commissioned as a band/roadies to accompany one particularly greedy gnomish bard – upon his death, his avaricious, spiteful testament has been rejected by the law, resulting in the intelligent constructs becoming free. Ever since, the brass band – quite literally, has been entertaining the masses as a weird group of entertainers and champions for downtrodden constructs. Both Copper Carl and the Mithril Men are CR […]
