  • Creature Components Volume I This massive book clocks in at 58 pages, 1 page front cover, 1 page editorial, 1 page inside of front cover, 3 pages of detailed ToC, 1 page SRD, 1 page back cover, leaving us with an impressive 50 pages of raw content, so let’s take a look!   This book has been moved up in my review-queue as a prioritized review. I actually have had quite some time to digest the pre-release version (with only layout missing) and tried to get the review done before my trip. Alas, there were some delays and thus, the final version only hit sites after my departure. I do have a policy to cover only finalized books with proper […]

  • #30 Bloodrager Organizations This unusually massive installment of Rite Publishing’s #30-series clocks in at 62 (!!!) pages, 1 page front cover, 1 page editorial, 1 page SRD, 2 pages of advertisement, which leaves us with 57 pages of content, so let’s take a look!   So, what do we get herein? Well, basically, a significant collection of organizations for bloodragers, but NOT, and that is important, a full-blown faction-style break-down for them. So no, if you’re looking for fame, prestige, etc.-mechanics, you won’t find those here. Instead, each organization begins with a pretty well-written piece of in-character prose and then sports the alignment of the organization. The tenets are briefly explained and the organizations entry-requirements as well – these usually […]

  • G.U.M.B.O. This module intended for younger audiences clocks in at 34 pages, 1 page front cover, 1 page editorial/ToC, 1 page SRD, 1 page advertisement, 1 page back cover, leaving us with 29 pages of content, so let’s take a look!   This review was moved up in my review-queue as a prioritized review at the behest of my patreons.   Before we dive into the nit and grit – this module does sport 3 pages of pregens with nice artworks for each, though, due to space-constraints, the attribute-modifiers, associated attributes for skills etc. are not listed – particularly for the target demographic of kids, these short-hand basic pregens may actually be more confusing when learning the game – so […]

Potential players should jump to the conclusion. … .. . Still here? All right! The town of Pindleton, a farming community that houses no legendary heroes, but which drips in local color, has been suffering -the picturesque area has been hounded by inexplicable raids, to the point where the desperate villagers had to even enforce a curfew. The town with its families and the level of detail […]

  • Today I’m going to take a look at Silver Crescent Publishing’s   Realms of Twilight Campaign Setting  I actually own only the dead tree copy of this campaign setting, so I’ll break my usual format for this review. The Realms of Twilight Campaign Setting comes as a massive hardcover book, including two pages of character sheets and 1 page map. After a page of editorial and a page ToC, we get 2 pages introduction and overview of the contents. After that, we get introduced into the world of Relistan. One of the things you immediately notice, is that the b/w-artwork is stunning and ranks among the best you can find in any 3pp-books. Chapter 1 details the fundamentals of the world […]
