  • Moar Goblins! (A Mini Bestiary) (5e) This mini-bestiary clocks in at 18 pages, 1 page front cover, 1 page editorial/ToC, 1 page SRD, 1 page advertisement, 1 page back cover, leaving us with 13 pages of content, so let’s take a look!   This review was moved up in my review-queue as a prioritized review at the request of my patreons.   All right, first things first: The layout of this pdf has been streamlined and adheres to a two-column standard with color artworks, so that’s the first thing I did not necessarily expect. Secondly, we begin this pdf with a nice recap of the term goblin and the various things it meant over the course of the centuries and […]

  • Mini-Dungeon: When Goblins die, no Comets are seen This pdf clocks in at 2 pages and is a mini-dungeon. This means we get 2 pages content, including a solid map and all item/monster-stats hyperlinked and thus, absent from the pdf, with only deviations from the statblocks being noted for the GM. Oh, and the series now comes in an archive that also contains…*drumroll* a .jpg-version of the map! Yeah, that’s pretty amazing! Better yet: GM-friendly version of the jpg’s included as well!   Since this product line’s goal is providing short diversions, side-quest dungeons etc., I will not expect mind-shattering revelations, massive plots or particularly smart or detailed depictions, instead tackling the line for what it is. Got that? Great! […]

  • Campaign Elements – Goblins of the Faerie Wood (DCC) This installment of the Campaign Elements series of modules/sites/set-pieces to introduce into a given campaign clocks in at 37 pages, 1 page front cover, 1/2 a page editorial, 2 pages of SRD, leaving us with 33.5 pages of content, though these pages are formatted for A5-sized (6” by 9”) book, which means you can, provided your eyesight is good enough, jam up to 4 pages on one sheet of paper if you’re printing this out.   This being pretty much an adventure-location-review, the following contains SPOILERS. Potential players should jump to the conclusion. … .. . All right, only judges around? Great! The goblins presented here are small humanoids, accomplished miners […]

Potential players should jump to the designated end of the SPOILERS, where I will begin commenting on the sourcebook-section.   The pdf begins with a general introduction to the world of Uteria, with a map also depicting a part of the continent. The unique component here would be one that is […]

Potential players may wish to jump to the conclusion. Oh. The module is called “Goblin Cave”. Guess what you’ll get? Goblins. In a cave? Perhaps. Yeah that might be it. Seriously, though. The title is lame as hell.   Still here? All right! The village of Svor has recently suffered from incursions of goblins that are oddly well trained and since the isolated village is rather […]
