  • Four Horsemen Present: Pakuvresh, the Flesh Golem Factory This pdf clocks in at 11 pages, 1 page front cover, 1 page SRD, 0.5 pages of editorial, leaving us with 9.5 pages of content, so let’s take a look!   This being an adventure set-piece/location-supplement/encounter-collection, the following will have SPOILERS. Potential players should jump to the conclusion. … .. .   So what is Pakuvresh? The simple response would be that it is what happens when a truly vile wizard has too much time on his hands – the location is basically an autonomous plant that cranks out horrid monstrosities and awaits its creator’s return to unleash its dread armies…or so the story goes. Situated in the astral plane, the place […]

  • Gingerbread Golem Swarm This pdf is 2 pages long – 1 page SRD/editorial, 1 page content – so what do we get?   Essentially, we get Jeff Lee creating a Gingerbread Golem Swarm that clocks in at a nasty CR 7. Not only are these menaces immune to magic (and swarms that are immune to magic are a PAIN), they may vomit liquid gingerbread on victims, potentially encasing them in gingerbread and suffocating them – funny, yet also potentially very dark: Two thumbs up – also due to the proposed alternate rule with a weakness to bite attacks.   Conclusion: One page, not much space to make editing mistakes (though I didn’t notice any here and time has shown that […]

  • Bullet Points: 3 Templates for Stone Golems This Bullet Point is 4 pages long, 1page front cover, 1 page SRD, leaving us with 2 pages of content for 3 templates, so let’s take a look, shall we?   The first template herein would be the Diamond-template, which increases CR by +2, add DR and HP. Being made of unrefined diamond, appraising and identifying the golem is difficult. Attacks by Diamond golems are rather deadly and every attack that deals less than 15 points of damage may actually result in the weapon being subjected to a sunder-attempt. OUCH – especially thanks due to the DR, which means that 30 points of damage are required to avoid this ability. Rather nasty!   […]
