  • I am a fan of Thor, both in Norwegian theology and in the pages of Marvel Comic books.  That said, I had high expectations for the movie released May 6, 2011.  If you want the short: Thor is epic!  Go see it.  Thor has a wonderful mix for a movie with action, comic relief, and a star studded cast.  You do not have to be into comic books to thoroughly enjoy this film.  Even if you would rather save money by seeing it in 2D instead of paying for a 3D IMAX experience, Thor is a fantastic work of art.   • Forget about X-men Origins: Wolverine… A difficult task, I know, but this new movie shouldn’t have anything to do with the characters that were terribly jammed into the first Wolverine movie. The new movie, titled The Wolverine, will NOT be a sequel to the abominable “BarakaPool” story line, according to director Darren Aronofsky (Requiem for a Dream, The Wrestler, Black Swan).  With Aronofsky at the helm and writer Christopher McQuarrie (The Usual Suspects, The way of the Gun, Valkyrie, The Tourist) penning the screen play, I am intrigued.
