  • Bethesda Softworks has worked tirelessly to bring us the latest installment in the Elder Scrolls saga.  Using the latest technology and a brand new graphics engine they have pushed the boundaries of gaming on multiple levels. Although the hype surrounding this game brought unrealistic expectations from many, I have tried to stay level-headed in my expectations.  Bethesda has brought us an amazing game and with this game comes both good and bad.   • 11/9/2011 we are 1 day and 18 hours away from the physical launch of SKYRIM. If you’re a Steam subscriber and have pre-ordered through their system you’ll have the game rolling on your PC 3 hours earlier than those of us who wait in line for a midnight release! I thought it would be fitting to take a look back at the history of the Elder Scrolls game series released by Bethesda Softworks over the years.  Most of us started playing right around Morrowind, others Oblivion, but the history goes much deeper than that.  Today we will dig up the old skeleton overlords living in Bethesda’s closet and take a look back at what made Bethesda what it is today.   • SKYRIM Questions answered for our NERD TREK readers at PAX Prime 2011: Our time with Bethesda was limited so we couldn’t ask every question you submitted, but I think we did a pretty good job.   One of the guys from Bethesda told us that ours were the best string of questions by one media outlet he’s ever heard.  I credited the NERD TREK readers and he said he was very impressed.  Great job guys!  Here you go: Toney asked: Will there be Daedric Shrine quests?
