  •      After putting 170+ hours into Skyrim, I have to admit that I am overall disappointed. The game seemed to have a lot going for it at first, but I feel that Bethesda may have gone too grand with its ideas and it led to somewhat of a boring experience. In other words, less could have been a whole lot more. I know a lot of you will be reading this and thinking “What is he talking about?! This game is awesome!”  Allow me to explain. Infinite Quests      First off, the idea of infinite quests must have looked good on paper, but it’s implementation in the game is rather dull and pointless. The best part about it […]

  • 9pm on November 10 could not come early enough! I was set up with a gaming online site Steam.com and could start playing at midnight eastern time.  I am so glad that I live on the west coast.  I have been waiting just like everyone else, but now my precious was here.  SPOILER ALERT! SPOILER ALERT! SPOILER ALERT!  The introduction to the game: you are a criminal being transported to be executed.  While you are traveling in this horse cart, you are taught how to use the different controls in order to move.  You are then lined up and called out.  Since you have not made your character yet you define what your character is and how it should look.  The […]

  • The title of this article does not reflect upon the success of the game but, rather, it is a reference to a few glitches that I experienced while playing this magnificent piece of art. Let me start off by saying that I have currently clocked in around 30 hours on Skyrim and I absolutely love it. The ability to wander such a vast map and enjoy all that it has to offer can feel overwhelming at times, but nonetheless it is an amazing experience to behold. Yet, an experience that comes with bugs along the way.   That’s right. Everyone’s favorite things about these games: glitches. Now I have read about some bad bugs that people have found, but to be […]

  • 11/9/2011 we are 1 day and 18 hours away from the physical launch of SKYRIM. If you’re a Steam subscriber and have pre-ordered through their system you’ll have the game rolling on your PC 3 hours earlier than those of us who wait in line for a midnight release! I thought it would be fitting to take a look back at the history of the Elder Scrolls game series released by Bethesda Softworks over the years.  Most of us started playing right around Morrowind, others Oblivion, but the history goes much deeper than that.  Today we will dig up the old skeleton overlords living in Bethesda’s closet and take a look back at what made Bethesda what it is today. • These are my top five choices for the best armor in the Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. 1.      Dwarven Armour The Dwarven armour is a newly obtained armour in my inventory but it is so far my favourite, besides the awesome looks of the golden armour with patterns all over it, it is very durable and it will help you get through the troll ridden caves and when you resist arrest with the guards (Don’t do it, it will end up in disaster).   2.      Shrouded armour The Shrouded armour is the armour that you will obtain when you join the dark brotherhood. It is enchanted with a spell that fortifies your sneak by 5secs. This helps […]

  • Skyrim: Which Mods would you like to see? I’ve been hearing a lot about the PC version of Skyrim lately. Mostly from people who wish to see the PC version in action, so they can be satisfied by the PC’s extra graphical glory upside the now outdating PS3 and Xbox 360.  I’ve also heard a lot of talk about possible mods for Skyrim.  Both of these subjects warrant attention, but I will only be addressing the latter since the first subject is a given. The PC version of Skyrim will look better than its console cohorts. Mods, on the other hand, are not so black and white. Will there be mind blowing graphical mods? Sure. Will modders choose to create […]

This question opened a can of worms.  Matt Carofano said that they have intentionally avoided confirming or denying this.  He said that they have NOT really talked about it yet.  Since the press demo […]
