  • Day 2 6 am came early. Waking up after getting to bed just five hours earlier was difficult. The amount of fun I had the day before helped to welcome the morning sun a little easier. I looked over and realized that my camera wasn’t plugged in. Did it come unplugged during the night? No, I just forgot to plug it in again! It’s my main job and I dropped the ball, again. We got into the car and I started driving to the convention center. I made Joe hold my camera while the car charged it. We showed up early and waited to get in. We updated Jonathan on what happened the day before since he missed it. Our […]

  • SKYRIM Questions answered for our NERD TREK readers at PAX Prime 2011: Our time with Bethesda was limited so we couldn’t ask every question you submitted, but I think we did a pretty good job.   One of the guys from Bethesda told us that ours were the best string of questions by one media outlet he’s ever heard.  I credited the NERD TREK readers and he said he was very impressed.  Great job guys!  Here you go: Toney asked: Will there be Daedric Shrine quests? This question opened a can of worms.  Matt Carofano said that they have intentionally avoided confirming or denying this.  He said that they have NOT really talked about it yet.  Since the press demo […]

  • Here’s a list of video games that I’d like to see more information on, if I’m not already anxiously awaiting the release.  Most of them come out by the end of the year 2011, but there are a couple early previews for 2012…   Assassins Creed: Revelations The city looks beautiful.  This game takes place in Constantinople after the events of Brotherhood.  You’ll be looking for 5 keys to unlock the library.  Eighty-five percent of the city is sloped.  Zip lines utilizing the new hook blade are often used since the city is so sloped.  The hook blade is vicious.  It’s really cool.  You can tear into people and finish enemies with some interesting moves using the hook blade.  You can use a smoke bomb and “Eagle Sense” (like eagle […]

  • It’s here, the E3 footage of my most heavily anticipated game this decade- The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Instead of beating around the bush let’s cut right to the chase and check it out. So many websites blather on about their feelings and opinions regarding this game. I think those who choose to play such an open ended game are intelligent, creative people who can think for themselves. Thus, I present the Skyrim video footage, Skyrim facts, Skyrim Screenshots, and finally a bad ass Skyrim background for your computer desktop! It’s everything you need and nothing you don’t, all in one place. Make sure you share this with your friends and follow NERD TREK on Facebook and Twitter. SKYRIM FACTS […]

  • The scoop on Skyrim character development via Todd Howard of Bethesda Softworks! One of the best things about Skyrim versus Oblivion is that instead of having to make a decision in the start of the game as to what kind of character class you would like to be, you instead naturally develop your character over the course of the game. Whatever skills you focus on become better and skills you ignore stay where they are. Should you decide to become a jack of all trades, it will take you a lot longer to level up. • ORIGINALLY POSTED 11 JANUARY 2011 Yesterday I opened my mailbox and was surprised to see a black magazine hiding amongst the bills.  As I peered into the darkness I could faintly make out a gray text upon what appeared to be the back cover which instantly brought images of the Elder Scrolls flashing into my mind.  “Skyrim?”  I said aloud as I brushed the archaic physical bills aside as if to say ‘shame on you’ to the companies for not offering auto-pay online.  After cleansing the sacred text of useless paper debt collectors I gently lifted the light tome and removed it from the mailbox.  Turning the magazine over the silver emblem of the new Elder Scrolls game “Skyrim” was prominently […]
