  • I find it very rare these days to find a tale both original in its telling and unique in its plot. The term mass fiction or popular genre has become an excuse to present us with the same story over, and over and over again. It’s therefore definitively worth mentioning when one finds a book that is unique and the only one of its kind. This was how I found David J. Kowalski’s novel The Company of the Dead to be. Set against the backdrop of the world’s worst maritime disaster, the sinking of the RMS Titanic, Kowalski brings us a one of a kind combination of sci-fi, history and dash of conspiracy to weave a tale of epic proportions […]

  • Agent Johnson frantically reached for the built-in computer panel along the side of the park bench.  Just over his shoulder he could see the group of twelve men in pursuit; another set of six men spread in a circle that must have been at least a hundred meter radius from his position.  Johnson already knew what they were doing, most likely setting up a perimeter to keep observers away so they could capture the agent.  The twelve men were now making a mad dash toward him while trying to home in on his location with their micro-fix weapons (a tool that utilizes ultra-dense vibrations to ‘fix’ an object).  He knew that a second or two more and then we would […]

  • Is time travel possible? This is a MUST SEE! I was stunned and not able to really come to any conclusion other than the fact that time travel could be possible. Either that or this is a really good hoax or a crazy person who just happens to be pretending to talk on a portable phone (a fairly advanced idea in those times!) I have always stood firm in my belief that it would only be possible to travel forward in time, but never backwards. How would you travel back before the time travel device existed? It would cease to exist. Time travel is one big paradox. Time travel has forever fascinated and captured the imaginations of millions of people […]
